| Beef cows at temple farm are traditionally reared and grazed between traditional apple orchards and in summer on the wetlands of the somerset levels, some of which is registered as an environmentally sensitive area. |

|
| The cows and calves are reared extensively (opposite to intensively) the calves are suckled on their mothers milk until they are 6-8 months old, we are currently moving away from milk production ceasing in Oct 2005 to increasing the suckler herd we already have and in particular the native breeds – Angus and Herefords - these have a more distinctive finer flavour which reflects the ethos of the company to produce a quality, tasty, juicy end product which has been hung properly, professionally butchered to sell direct to you through our catering business. |
